The beach

I took these pictures at the beach about a month ago, during one of the four one-week-trips we took this summer. It's always a bit funny that when you plan to have a quiet summer holiday, somehow you end up being away all summer ;). Our summer started with our trip to Portugal, then we went to Zeeland (the Netherlands, near the sea) for a week, then we went camping in the Ardennes (Belgium) for a week, and then we spent another week on Terschelling (a Dutch island). It was a bit of this and a bit of that, maybe next summer with two children we'll just stay in one place for a bit longer.

I'm quite curious what next year will bring, in many aspects. I know that many people say the transition from no children to one child is the biggest, but to me it somehow feels that going from one to two kids will be a big one as well. Lately our life with the three of us somehow feels quite balanced (even the holiday adjustment went better and better, at the fourth holiday in a row we finally really mastered the 'holiday with kid'-thing ;)), it's still such a funny idea that within a few months everything will turn upside down again...

I love having my 2 kids. But....With 1 you're still flexible, with 2 everybody is busy handling a child.  It's a different step you take. You know what it is having a baby, but you have to organise life a bit more with 4 people.

It´s nice to have two kids :). For me, it was not a big change to have the first one, and with the second one, you are much more organized and less worried than for the first time. You are more experienced and everything is easier.

About Ninainvorm

I'm Nina, ceramics designer, art/ craft/ design lover and mom of Rosa and Julie. This blog is about the things I make (you can find my online shop here) and the things I love (design, art, craft, interior, fashion, photography). You may have noticed a special emphasis on my two beautiful girls and everything children's design related!

There used to be a second blog on children's clothing, Coolkidsclothes, but it's currently sort of asleep and all the images have vanished temporarily, but I hope to revitalize it real soon.

Meanwhile, lovely children's clothing will be an important part of this blog here as well.
