After all those years...
... I still love Etsy, and I still keep finding inspiring new shops and artists. Like Sarah A., the shop by very young (23!) and talented Sarah Andreacchio. Look, so lovely! (and don't forget to check out her blog as well, it's filled with nice little illustration projects)

Sometimes I wonder how long things such as Etsy will keep existing. Developments in internet, technology and (social) media go fast, people get bored and want new things... Maybe within a few years Etsy will be something of the past, something old-fashioned that only some folks who missed a few more modern boats are still using. It's interesting but sometimes also a bit stressful: right now Etsy offers artists and designers all these wonderful opportunities, earning a living by selling the things you make to people all over the world, but maybe within a few years there's something else, maybe it will all be over before we realized we had to try something different. Maybe within a decade everyone has a 3D-printer and people can just print everything they see online on their own home printers, who knows?
Well, let's enjoy it as long as it lasts!

PS Lately I was thinking I should do a little roundup on everything I ever purchased on Etsy since I registered in 2007, but when I browsed through my huge order history, I started feeling a bit embarrassed and thought maybe I'd better not publish it on this blog, where the person I share a bank account with also regularly reads ;). But maybe some day, I think it would be fun to see all those things together, to see all the different things one can buy on etsy...
